Spatial parameter set: FireRating 60 on corridor doors

Set parameters — one, many, or by location

Three reaches: one parameter on one element; the same parameter across hundreds (one transaction, one undo); or spatially — on elements located in rooms whose name matches.

When: the bread and butter. The spatial one is the star: "doors in corridor rooms" uses real room geometry, not naming conventions.

set FireRating to 60 on doors in corridor rooms set Comments to "verified" on all the walls I've selected set the Mark of this column to C-12

Rename in bulk

Find-and-replace inside names, across a whole category — views, sheets, schedules, or model elements.

When: naming-convention cleanups after a copy-paste spree.

rename all views containing "Copy" to "WIP" replace "LVL" with "Level" in sheet names

Find-and-replace is case-sensitive. The reply shows examples of what changed.

Renumber sequentially

A category's Mark (or any numbering parameter) renumbered in sequence — your prefix, your starting number.

When: after the layout settles and the marks are chaos.

renumber all doors by level starting at 100 renumber rooms with prefix "R-" from 1

Change & swap types

One element's type, or the same swap across many at once.

When: spec changes — every "Partition 100" becomes "Partition 100 FR".

change these walls to type "Partition 100 FR" swap all of these to the 1000 mm door

Clone a reference over wrong elements

Pick one correctly-placed element as the reference; Copilot replaces each target with an exact clone — type, offset, orientation — flipping 180° where the target faced the other way.

When: cross-family swaps a type-swap can't do. The classic: replacing every squat toilet with the seated one you've placed correctly once.

replace these fixtures with the one I've selected

Move, copy, rotate, mirror

By vector, by angle about a point, or across an axis — with copy-mirror keeping the originals.

When: precise repetitive geometry — "copy these 3 m up" beats dragging.

move the selected furniture 500 mm towards the window copy these fittings up one storey mirror this layout across grid C, keep the original

Group, pin, join

Model groups from a set; pin or unpin in bulk; join the geometry of two elements so they cut cleanly.

When: protecting datum elements with a mass pin, or fixing the wall-floor join that's been bugging you.

group these elements as "Toilet Pod A" pin every grid and level join this wall and this floor

Duplicate views & apply templates

Duplicate any view — plain, with detailing, or as a dependent — and apply a view template to one view or many.

When: documentation production. Duplicate the plan per phase, template them all in one go.

duplicate the Level 1 plan with detailing, call it "Level 1 — Fire" apply the "JKR Plan" template to every floor plan
