Capabilities.
Copilot runs on 74 purpose-built tools — 26 that read the model, 48 that change it. You never pick a tool; you ask in plain language (English or Bahasa Malaysia) and Copilot routes to the right one. These pages walk through every capability — what it does, when to reach for it, and how to phrase it.
The six groups
- Look things up — lists, finds, counts, takeoffs, warnings. Read-only, always safe.
- Navigate & select — open views, select and zoom, isolate.
- Create — walls to sheets to 3D views, placing families, batch builds.
- Modify — parameters, renames, type swaps, moves, geometry.
- Graphics & tagging — colour rules, view filters, hide/isolate, tags.
- Cleanup & export — deletes, purge, Excel, PDF and DWG.
How to read these pages
Each capability gets three things: what it does, when to use it, and example phrasings. The phrasings are starting points, not syntax — Copilot reads intent, so say it your way. Element and type names resolve against your actual model, in either language.
The two rules that hold everywhere
- Every change runs in one named transaction — one
Ctrl+Zreverts the whole command. See Undo & safety. - Ambiguity gets a question, not a guess — if three wall types match "partition", Copilot asks which.
